YSF ended the year 2011 on a healthy and fit note. And what better way it can be than a marathon!
Sykz has dedicatedly been organising the Marathon successfully for eight years in order to help society at large, by donating the proceeds for charity. The Sykz Lokhandwala Marathon in association with Provogue and Yuvraj Singh Foundation organized on December 18, kicked off from Lokhandwala in Andheri, Mumbai.
"All children should have access to Sports, Health and Education facilities. Additionally it is our responsibility to protect and conserve the environment for future generations to enjoy." Believes Yuvraj Singh Foundation which aims to use the power of stardom as a vehicle to raise funds through events and corporate partners and direct those resources to not only work for the benefit of those in need but also to create awareness among the general public about the problems which exists in the society and the need to work towards removing those problems for the betterment of the future.
Yuvraj Singh Foundation has spread the air of preserving the source of energy by taking up an initiative called BHACHAT LAMP YOJNA. The foundation has conducted many programs on saving energy where they encourage & motivate people to make a wise decision by lighting houses with CFL's & boycotting ICL's. CFL leads to the saving of considerable amount of power in contrast to ICL & it is being provided by YSF at a very low & affordable cost. A small step taken towards conserving energy will make our future generation also blessed with this beautiful resource & will keep their world happy & bright.
Yuvraj Singh Foundation took an initiative to help the under-priviged children by organising a charity dinner & an auction of cricket's famous memorabilia under the aegis of the Indian Cricket Dundee (ICD), an Indian version of the Barmy Army, at Lord's in London. The event performed the role of a catalyst to raise funds for the foundation.
